PETERSEN AUTOMOTIVE MUSEUM, LOS ANGELES

This is my electronic photo album on the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California. Visiting the museum is the perfect way to experience the American Car Culture in the city built around the automobile.

The museum has about 150 classic vehicles on display in its main galleries at any given time. The remaining half of the collection is kept at the museum's vault. In the Streetscape Exhibit, vintage automobiles are desplayed in a realistic environment that will take visitors back in time to the earliest days of the automobile in Los Angeles.

If there is one thing that we all have in common, especially in Southern California, it's our love affair with the automobile. To some, the automobile is a machine, but for Californians, it is a passion. The Petersen Automotive Museum has been celebrating this passion since 1994 on Wilshire Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue where it anchors one end of the famous "Miracle Mile".

Thank you for visiting my photo blog. There are so many California tourist attractions, it’s hard to know where to begin. From Sea World-San Diego in the south to majestic Mt. Shasta near its northern border, California is without a doubt a vacationer’s paradise. I hope that my photos have given you a glimpse of the immense beauty and wonder of the Golden State.
